I descided on a rainy day I would sit down and listen to James Paterson's 9th Judgement and I was down for the day.  I enjoyed this so much that I had to listen to the entire book from beginning to end.  Carolyn McCormick reads the novel and she reads it with so much feeling.  This is the first time I have actually sat down and listened to a book on cd and I had always wanted to read a James Patterson novel for quite sometime now and I am so glad I fineally did.  I normally wouldn't have chosen a mystery novel but I have heard so much about James Patterson I had to know how he writes.

The main characters are Lindsey Boxer who is a detective and her partner is Rich.  The story takes place in San Francisco and is about several murders.  Lindsey and her partner are after the man who is called the lipstick killer.  They are also after a cat burglar they call Hello Kitty.  There is plenty of excitement and it kept me wanting to here more and more until I had listened to the whole thing.  This James Patterson cd is great and I enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone who loves a good mystery.

ABOUT "THE BRIDE COLLECTOR" BY TED DEKKER

Brad Rains is the main character, he is the investigator int he murders.  This story takes place in Denver Colorado.  The killer is knowN for picking beautiful woman to murder and hang on the wall.  The investigators gave the killer the name of the Bride collector because they were wearing vails when they were found.  Rains was drawn to a private mentally ill home to talk to their residents.  One of the residents was named Paradis and Brad somehow felt drawn to her.  Paradise is Bi-Polar and she sees dead people.  Paradise has visions and Brad knows that she is seeing something and works to get her to talk and trust him.  I really liked this story and I felt like I was right there in the investigation.  It was a little unnerving at times and I liked that.  The book was read by John Glover and he does a wonderful job of reading and making the listener feel like they are really there in the investigation.

This novel is an unusual love story between two characters Lore and Idess.  Lore was born of a human and a demon.  Lore has a twin sister named Sin.  Lore is trying to free his sister Sin from being owned.  He must kill Kynan Morgan to set her free.  He has a power in his right hand that will kill instantly at his touch.  Idess is an Earthbound angel until she completes her duties, then she gets her wings.  She was assigned to Kynan to protect him from harm. There is crosses between werewolves and vampires, werewolves and angels that drink blood and & demons and so on.  This is a different type of novel than I normally would have read.  It was my first paranormal book like this and I did enjoy reading it mostly because it is pretty different than the romance stories I normally choose.  It was a good change of pace and I really liked it.



MY REVIEW OF "DESPERATE DEEDS" BY DEE DAVIS

MY REVIEW

Tyler and Owen are the main characters in this book. Tyler works for A-Tac and she is transporting a detonator.  The detonator was hi-jacked and the 2 men that were with the detonator were killed and Tyler was knocked out.  Tyler and Owen are working together trying to locate the detonator and they knew that there was a mole in the A-Tac team that they had to find out who it was.  This is the 3rd book in the A-Tac Series and the 2nd book that I have read by Dee Davis.  This book can be read by itself or with the series.  I found that this book was pretty good but I did like Dangerous Desires much better. It took me a little while to get into this story but after reading for a couple chapters it caught my attention pretty good.  The book is well written and has good details with the characters and I will be reading more of her books.

MY REVIEW

Madeline and Drake are the main characters and the story takes place in the Columbian Jungles.  Madeline is trying to destroy Ortiz Di Silva because he had a hand in her sisters death and they are out to kill Madeline bacause she knows too much. Drake has been sent to help her because she has information they need.  There is a lot of excitement and danger in every turn.  This story has a mix of danger and romance and I  really enjoyed reading this book.   Although I hadn't read the first book to the series I found that I had no problem reading and following this story even though it is the second in the A-Tac series.  I will be looking forward to the third book which will be out in Aug.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT THIS BOOK-

The two main characters are Jamie and Linnet.  They were together in Paris which didn't work out too well.  I really liked how they met again in London.  There is some excitement in the story line which I like.  Linnet is looking for the person that did her grandfather wrong when she was a child.  Her brother is always watching out for her because she is always getting herself in trouble one way or another.  She seems like she is a little wild and uncrontrolable at times. 

The book kept me wondering what Linnet was going to do next.  Linnet keeps Jamie on his toes all the time.  There's Witchcraft, potions and sorcerers in the story and I liked the paranormal aspects of it.  I would recommend this book.  I enjoyed it very much.

MY REVIEW

I thought this storyline was very good.  It kept me interested and was very hard to put the book down.  It was a book that made me want to just read more and more and I really just didn't want it to end.  It has excitement, desire, passion and suspence all in one and that makes for a great book. 

Marilee and Wyatt are the two main characters in this book and they make for a great couple.  They are strong willed and both have went to great lengths to make a life for themselves that they always wanted while growing up.

Wyatt's family is a family that everyone would want to have.  They are always there when they are needed and they care for each other very much. This book was very good and it is the second in a series.  You don't need to read them in order to understand and enjoy this book.  I am looking forward to R.C. Ryan's next book coming out in November of this yr. "Montana Glory".
